LAS VEGAS THUNDERBIRDS FLY SOUTHEAST AND BECOME THE ALL NEW HENDERSON FORCE

Henderson, NV – The Las Vegas Thunderbirds hockey club is rebranding as the Henderson Force. The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) announced approval of the teams name change and move to Henderson, NV on Monday April 22nd, 2024. The team will remain in the USPHL in the Pacific Division as the Henderson Force and play their home games at America First Arena on downtown Water St in Henderson. “We are extremely excited for this move and the opportunity to bring an exciting brand of hockey to Henderson,” said Joe Micatrotto, Managing Member of the Henderson Force.

The Force will continue play an important role in the development of hockey players in the Southern Nevada area by providing an opportunity for those players ages 16-20 looking to advance their hockey career. The head coach of the Henderson Force is Matt Johnson, an innovative leader with experience as a player and coach at various levels including junior and NCAA Division III. Landon Quinney, a native Las Vegan, will continue to share his hockey knowledge and family pedigree with the team and serve as the assistant coach.

The Henderson Force will signing players and filling out their roster in July and August of 2024 and begin play in the USPHL Premier Pacific Division in September 2024.

The Henderson Force is owned by CMB Hockey LLC, Ownership group includes Joe Micatrotto, Allan Creel and Marco Benvenuti. The group mission is to create a winning hockey organization that celebrates the unique strength and talent of each player, fosters a culture of inclusivity, player development and collaboration.
